trained wearing military uniforms. Its very depressing & pathetic that an army like Indian Army, which constantly faces a bunch of hazards & combats in multiple areas of the country, is training its commandos in a goddamned hurry. But why…?

I think that commandos are edit solider with high quality. There is no need to produce them in huge scale.

No really, are you insane? The commando training that lasts for 39 days is primary selection to weed out the ones who dont qualify for the gruelling 2 years of special operations training that comes AFTER. Do your research son. Having said that I feel its great that the Pakistanis will engage our commandos thinking “39 days training only”.
What an excellent surprise that will be when they will be completely taken aback by the ferocity, speed and surprise of the Indian Army Para SF..Mind you, this is exactly what happened in Kargil. They didnt know what hit them and what you dont know CAN kill you.

I met one retired israeli mosad commando once in dehli, he said and i quote “people say we are the best in the world but indian para and marine commandos despite being underpaid and having practically no modern weapons rely only on their training and fight like warriorrs. They are the best and they are unparallel in the world”. I completely agree with him. Our government should provide them with latest weapons and good military gear because they are precious to the nation. A country with 20 lakh crore as their annual budget cannot be poor. We can very much afford these things and we have enough potential in our indigenous defence industry to produce modern state -of -the art weapons. Sometimes it feels like we have lost our patriotism and we dont see our nation’s problem as our own problem.

Being an Indian and having lived there for 42 yrs. I am not at all surprised to know this fact. If there is a short cut or any way out of a difficult task, Indians will take it. If you are critical of it you are branded anti national element. Hard work is not an Indian ethic rather it produces shoddy work and workmanship with a high degree of self praise.
The disgracefull manner it took an elite commando force to clear the ‘Taj’ became clear to me. I watched with utter embarrassment its most elite forces running around the Taj for days in the most disgracefull manner in plain clothes with little protection for the unit.
No surprise to me it took the lives of the three top officers not that they were any great heros. That was just plain dumb behavior.
I watch the ‘SWAT’ teams here surround an area and the disciplined manner in which they go about thier business. We just do not come any where close to that force. I am sure that we will get our backside whipped by the Pakistan special forces on any given day just like we did at Kargil. The only thing we are good at is covering up the arse whipping we got there. Are you then surprised that we got whipped. Cover up after cover up is all we are good at.
We used to be world champions of field hockey having won the olympics gold 8 times. As the British influence wanes in India and the era of discipled sport wanes we have lost that emminent position both in football as well as hockey. Yes football too we were semi finalist at the Melbourne Olympics.
India is a doomed civilization and V.S.Naipaul is so correct. It hurts me no end to say this because I also know that we are such an intellegent race. We just do not have the discipline to go with it. Physicall excellence like the olympic games and takes serious training and not one Gold medal every 25 years, that is something all of India pretends not to understand because it is so convenient not too. Very few Indians have the courage to stand up and swallow that bitter pill and fight for it. I pray for the day to come quicker that later but I am not betting on it. Jai Hind.
